Reviews
This restaurant is located inside the hotel after passing the bar. The servers were very attentive and explained each dish that was served. By chance, this saved me because I forgot to notify them (and I was not asked) that I was allergic to peanuts. The atmosphere was intimate and classy. Dinner was served under the flickering candle light with fresh roses on the white tablecloth table. Perfect place for a date night. They had a extensive wine list, with a sommelier on staff to help if needed. I had the fish and beef steak, both were delicious!
One of the best in Zagreb! Highly recommend their Sunday brunch, an amazing deal and so so much delicious food. And of course, the esplanade staple of the best service! A must visit when in Zagreb. Thank you!
What a delight to eat here. I always like to try fine dining restaurants in Eastern Europe..so creative and such a different way of using ingredients and really great techniques. Loved our lunch here. Great service as well!
I was looking forward to visiting a Michelin one-star restaurant. I particularly enjoyed the sea bass. I felt that the price and taste didn't quite match. The service, however, was fantastic. Given the high price, if asked whether I would go again, I am not sure.
American…experienced so many exceptional meals…this one ranks among the best…I have ever had.
Most delicious breakfast in town. Service amazing and professional. Love it. :) We'll be back very soon.
We gave advance notice for the dietary needs of my partner. In my emails with the restaurant, the restaurant supervisor assured us that we could order plain, boiled vegetables for my partner when we arrived.
When we arrived, my partner was served was boiled vegetables seasoned with black pepper. We sent this back to the kitchen.
What came next was a plate of boiled vegetables that were undercooked. The potatoes were tough because they were not fully cooked, not because they were "al dente" (which is what the restaurant supervisor tried to have us believe).
While the correct order was belatedly served, and the supervisor made genuine efforts to rectify the restaurant's shortcomings, we still left the restaurant feeling disappointed with the experience as a whole.
The consommé and turbot dishes I ordered were underwhelming. I was not excited by these dishes. The Croatian red wine that was recommended by the wait staff was good.
There are definitely better places to eat in Zagreb that won't sting your wallet or purse.
I also want to recognise the accommodations that were made, such as moving us to the quieter outdoor seating area to avoid the loud, disruptive group of people at the nearby bar.
People with dietary requirements should not be excluded or disregarded, especially when the calibre of the restaurant implies freshly-made food to order with a high degree of accuracy and care.
Beautiful restaurant in the Esplanade hotel. We had a lovely dinner I’d say the beet risotto was my favorite. The Croatian wines Silvio recommended were wonderful. A true Michelin experience.
